A sign-in that holds
The launcher validates your session before launch and captures the new one the game issues on exit, so the login carries across installations and evenings instead of dropping you back at the form.
Translocator manages your Vintage Story installations, keeps mods current with real changelogs, and installs modpacks from its Modpack Hub, fetching every mod from the official Mod Database and verifying it against the publisher's signature before anything touches your game folder.
Free, no account beyond your Vintage Story login. Updates itself. Builds on GitHub Releases. Free software under GPL-3.0.
Vintage Story already pulls down whatever a server needs when you join it. What the community has never had is one place to publish the set itself: a server's exact mod list with the configs that make it play the way it does, or a pack somebody assembled because they had an idea about how the game should feel. Those get passed around as zip files, forum posts, and Discord pins. The Modpack Hub gives them an address.
The other half is knowing what you are running. Translocator shows the changelog for every mod you have installed, per release, next to whether it matches your game version, so updating is a decision instead of a shrug.
A pack itself is a signed list of exact releases. The launcher fetches each mod from the official Mod Database, checks it against the publisher's pinned hash, and writes nothing until the whole set has arrived intact, so the install is reproducible and the authors keep their downloads.
Publishing signs the whole set with a key bound to the publisher's own Vintage Story account. Servers and players can pull that document straight from the Hub, keep it on disk, and verify it without asking anyone's permission.
Live from the Hub, fetched when this page was rendered. Mods are never re-hosted here: the pack references them on the Mod Database, so downloads and statistics stay with their authors.

Signed manifests, files pulled from the source, hashes checked before placement, and the finished installation frozen to the pack version so it stays matched to the server it was built for.
Per-release changelogs, compatibility against your game version, backups before changes, and game versions downloaded once and shared by every installation that needs them.
Translocator can build Zaldaryon's Optimum on your own machine, from your own game files, and launch through it, falling back to the standard client automatically if a build ever misbehaves.
